Carlton L. Lyons, MD, FACOG, is a well-versed gynecologist and urogynecologist who diagnoses and treats patients at Beacon Medical Group Center for Pelvic Health and Gynecology in South Bend, IN. Carlton L. Lyons, MD, FACOG, attended the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN, and received his medical degree in 1987. Furthermore, he conducted his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI (1987-1991). Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Lyons received board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2014, which made him the first board certified urogynecologist in the region. Dr. Lyons is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the North American Menopause Society, the Society of Urodynamics, the Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, the International Urogynecological Association, the International Society for the Study of Women´s Sexual Health, and the American Medical Association. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
